Stokkøya Strandbaren

The beach bar focuses on clean and local products. Here is our own herb and vegetable garden, our own organic sheep farm, as well as collaboration with several other local suppliers of meat, fish, berries, cheese, beer and gin!

Spisekroken Årnes

In 2014, an opportunity presented itself. We took over the newly refurbished café premises at Årnes Handel where we serve dinner, hot lunch, cold lunch, salads, cakes, take away, catering, meeting food and a good chat.

Færingen Kro & Pub

Kro / Pub with a simple Ala carte menu. Home cooking at the buffet on Sundays for a reasonable price. Location near the sea with floating dock and possibility to buy fuel.

Dijam

Dijam Pizzarestaurant is usually based in its own building, but will get a brand new restaurant in our new multi-purpose hall. Until it is finished, you can buy pizza from Dijam in the premises of Bjørnør in Parken.

Rorbua is a small pub/cafe located by the Linesøya marina.

Dåapma

Dåapma is a very popular top hike in Åfjord at over 600m. The top is easily accessible in both summer and winter. From the top you can see Halten in the west and Sweden in the east.

Solfjellet

Solfjellet is a great vantage point between Åfjord and Stoksund, which is well worth a trip to see Åfjord, Stoksund, Bjugn, and even the fishing village of Halten if the weather is clear.

Harbakhula

Harbakhula is one of Central Norway's largest caves. The natural cave formation which is approx. 130m deep and approx. 40 meters high at the cave opening gives a fantastic view over the sea and the archipelago.

Hosnasand

Here you have the Atlantic right on the beach and on hot days it is delightfully refreshing to take a dip in the cool water. In the middle of the beach with a unique location you will find the Strandbaren.

Utrostien i Roan

At Utro in Roan you will find a nice path that moves through an old cultural landscape with preserved burial sites and stone fences. The path has been named the Utrostien, here you can move along the path and take a detour to experience the exciting landscape that has memories going back to the Bronze Age.

Bouldering

Åfjord has long been a popular destination for bouldering. Åfjord's many mountains and Stokkøya's large rocks offer many challenges for climbing enthusiasts. Harbak annually draws a large number of boulderers to explore the site's many heights, angles and degrees.

Vikafjæra

Vikafjæra is a cozy beach not far from Ratvika. The beach is well suited for families with children.

Caving

Åfjord offers many exciting caves, both in the mountains and in the water. Harbakhula has always been a popular place, but we have several exciting caves in the municipality. Check out Snørehallen, Nyphogget, Kjølna, Hønheia among some of the exciting places we have here.

Utrotunet

The community center at Utro in Roan has preserved an old fishing tradition with a fisherman's home and several old boathouses. It is interesting to see how good construction techniques have been used, as the boathouse at the far end of the headland is built on smooth rock. Here you can walk in history by taking a walk along the Utrostien. It is said that the path offers opportunities for several side jumps.

The Stjern museum

Stjern is a company in Åfjord that was established in 1953. Since then, the company has grown to become a large company which today is divided into 4. The museum is open by appointment and can take you through a lot of exciting history.

Around Linesøya

It is popular to cycle around Linesøya. If you want more experiences on the same trip, you can park your bike to climb Linesfjellet, inspect Øyholmen, have a bite to eat at Rorbua or visit Kjerringrokken, local history museum.

Salmon fishing

Åfjordsbåten coastal team

There is a lot of history and strong traditions associated with the Åfjord boat. They have been used for fishing and shipping all the way back to the 18th century.

Fredmoen Museum

Fredmoen is a salmon fishing museum at Stordalselva in Åfjord. The building was established as a homestead under the vicarage in 1840. In 1900-1980, it was mostly English salmon fishermen who lived here.
